After announcing themselves in 2015 as one of Australia’s most promising new acts with their debut EP Cusp, Melbourne duo Kllo (formerly Klo) have joined Different in a deal where Ghostly International will work the band in North America and we get do the rest of this god-forsaken hell-hole of a planet. Their sound is a form of blissed-out chill-step, reminiscent at times of UK Garage with R&B elements. Delish.
Last year was a big one for Kllo, with a run of high profile festivals back home (Splendour in the Grass, Dark Mofo, Melbourne Music Week) and support slots for the likes of SOHN and Maribou State. We found the guys on their first UK tour last year, stumbling upon an incredible show at The Great Escape. That European trip also took in Liverpool Sound City and a sunset performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
The first glimpse of new Kllo music will be in the form of an EP, which is set for release in spring 2016. Watch this space
