Toronto electro-punks Crystal Castles split in 2014 following singer Alice Glass’ departure, calling it a day at a time when the band were arguably at the peak of their powers. Each of their three albums I, II, and III were as powerful, energetic and visceral as they were sequentially accurate. The band became one of the biggest in the scene and developed perhaps one of the greatest live electronic shows ever; a 100 miles-per-hour assault of sweat, strobes and distortion. Lovely stuff.
